I’ve missed you, truly.
I haven’t posted much, and I’ve betrayed you by not posting in November. For this I am inexplicably sorry, and only hope that you’ll forgive me.
Today I’m sick. Not like my usual twisted-sickness, but literally ill. I’m nauseous, I’ve got a headache and I’m losing my voice. Brilliant. Juuust brilliant.
Also, I’m in one of those moods where I’m pissed and yet so amused.
I’ll explain:
October 2011: Raye, our heroine meets her… uh… animated peer’s friends. She is polite, and kind, and her usual hurrdurr self.
Screw third-person.
Anyway, so my “Animated Peer” introduced me to her friends. No big deal. They seemed cool. Quiet, but cool.
About a week later, the Animated Peer (AP) comes up and tells me that her friend (I call him Desparado) likes me.
THINGS WRONG WITH THIS:
1) I don’t know which one of her friends he is.
2) I’ve never talked to any of them alone
3) I’ve never had a conversation with any of them
So basically, I don’t know him, and he doesn’t know me.
But he likes me?
No.
So I told her that I wasn’t looking for a relationship (which is true), and to tell him not to bother.
The next day, I go for lunch with them, and AP comes up to tell me that Desparado is going to ask me out.
Me: What? No! I told you not to let him.
Her: Ohhhh, true, true. Okay, be right back.
She takes Desparado, talks to him for a minute, and then I hear:
Okay, now go! Go ask her out.
Me: What are you doing? I can hear you!
Her: I’ll give you guys some privacy ;)
Me: No! No, get back here!
But she leaves, and he asks me out, so I reject him.
He then proceeds to message me lyrics to love songs, and tell me that he's in love with me. NO.
I had to explain to this kid that he didn't love me. That he's a hurrdurr with a delusional sense of reality.
But that was in October. He's now dating the AP, and they're very happy together.
But today, he decided to give my number (Which he probably got from the AP) to his buddy Alex.
This guy Alex called me about an hour ago, telling me that I'm supposed to go out with him.
Alex: Hi, my friend told me to call this number... you're supposed to go out with me.
Me: Sorry, I think you've got the wrong number.
Him: Who is this?
Me: I'm Raye.
Him: Yeah, *Desperado* says that you guys are close and that you'd go out with me.
Me: I haven't talked to *Desperado* since October, Idk where he's getting this.
Him: Really? He pointed you out and said that you'd go out with me.
Me: Nope. Sorry. Good luck, and uh, tell *Desperado* not give out my number anymore.
Him: Okay, sorry.
Me: No problem.
Desperado gave my number to his friend, and said I'd go out with him. -.-
But the guy said sorry, yeah? No big deal.
Until he decided to call AP, and tell her that he really, really likes me. He wanted her to call me, and tell me that he wants to go out with me.
One problem (out of many):
I HAVE NEVER MET THIS GUY IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.
That's just bloody odd.
Nikki, my main prat and estranged lover, had the time of her life laughing her pudding off about this. Then again, I did too.
